Master’s Club All Colored Belt Students (Camo - Red/Balck Belt) above the Basic (White, Orange & Yellow) Program including all Black Belts, are members of the Master’s Club. All Basic Program students are also encouraged to join. Students with a desire to continue beyond the Basic Program become members of the Master’s Club, thereby allowing them to progress through the colored belts plus train with weapons. Weapons are not required for progression through colored belt ranks, but they are required for Black Belts. Members learn weapons as part of developing speed, balance, coordination and control. This extra training helps students in their non-weapon activities such as sparring & forms. Weapons taught by The Academy’s certified instructors are the Jah Bong (Long Stick or Bo Staff), Ssahng Jeol Bong (Nunchuck) (both single and double) and Bahng Mahng Ee, (both single and double). Weapons (with the exception of the Jah Bong) are padded for safety.

Leadership Program Leaders are not born ...they’re made. The Leadership Program is open to all students who want to reach their full potential, not only as martial artists, but leaders in their schools and communities. Leadership class encourages students demonstrate techniques to other students & later to lead drills. Students learn how to: act respectfully & responsibly, speak in front of their classmates, give good handshakes and be better listeners. Improved eye contact, self discipline, confidence, increased attention span, and better behavior in public, at school and at home are some of many attributes you will notice in your Student Leader. Student Leaders are also encouraged to help out other classes and may be asked to be a Jr, Trainee Instructor. Leadership Members are also eligible to collect tournament points toward becoming State, National, and World ATA Songham Taekwondo Champions. Ask a student with a red or red, white, and blue collar about what the Leadership Program has done for them. In fact, you can see the differnce.
